First time in Houseboat Industry History of jammu and kashmir that ” Houseboat Festival”was organized by Department of Tourism and inagurated by Union home minister Amit Shah at SKICC Srinagar
The minister also witnessed a musical fountain and laser show, that, he said, was “a mesmerising experience”.
Muhammad Yakub Dunoo, Spokesperson, Kashmir Houseboat Owners Association ( KHBOA) on behalf of Houseboat owners said that we are thankful to Secretary Tourism Sarmad Hafeez and Director Tourism Kashmir Ghulam Nabi Itto for organising such event which will boost Houseboat Industry which is a ” heritage of jammu and kashmir
The houseboat festival has been organised as part of the ‘Iconic Week’ festival celebrating the spirit of Jammu and Kashmir, union Home minister was accompanied by Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha and minister of state in the Prime Minister’s office Jitendra Singh. Later, Shah took to Twitter to share pictures of the event. It was a mesmerising experience to watch the musical fountain and laser show at Srinagar’s iconic Dal Lake. Also inaugurated the ‘Houseboat Festival’ organised by the Jammu and Kashmir tourism,” Shah said in a tweet.
