District Administration Kupwara conducts mega event to mark launch of Sewa Parv-2025 across district Kupwara

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 17: District Administration Kupwara launched the Sewa Parv-2025 campaign today with a series of impactful events aimed at raising awareness about various government schemes and welfare initiatives throughout the district. The campaign was inaugurated at the D.C Office Complex Kupwara by Deputy Commissioner Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, with the presence of key officials including SSP Kupwara Gulam Jeelani, ADDC Mufti Fareed Uddin, ADC Gulzar Ahmad, and other senior officers and stakeholders.

The kickoff featured a large-scale cleanliness drive at the D.C Office, in which officials, staff, and community members actively participated to emphasize the importance of maintaining clean public spaces. A plantation drive followed, symbolizing the commitment to environmental sustainability, with officers planting trees and promoting the message of a green workplace.

During his address, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted that Sewa Parv-2025 is a fortnight-long, nationwide campaign running until October 2, designed to expand the reach of government schemes to every corner of the district. All departments—including Health, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, and Fisheries—received specific targets for enrolling eligible citizens into social security and development programmes within this period.

The event also featured vibrant stalls set up by department representatives, offering on-the-spot registration and sharing detailed information about available welfare schemes directly with the public. The Information Department added a cultural dimension by organizing a folk music program, which conveyed social messages around cleanliness, drug-free living (‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’), and social security through music and performance. Awareness hoardings were installed at key locations across the district.

As part of the outreach, the Deputy Commissioner distributed sanction letters and cheques to beneficiaries under various animal husbandry and allied schemes,mission Yuva etc ensuring timely delivery of government support. Officers from the civil and police administration highlighted the need for community participation in the campaign, and all attendees took a collective pledge to uphold cleanliness standards. The SDRF Kupwara demonstrated disaster rescue operations, showcasing preparedness and safety protocols.

In addition, the Health Department organized an awareness cum health screening program under the “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” at Public Park Langate, presided over by Chairman DDC Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori, to further propagate health and wellness initiatives among women and families. The Sewa Parv-2025 campaign also extended to schools, blocks, tehsils, panchayats, and all government institutions, where similar initiatives including cleanliness drives and pledges were conducted to ensure maximum reach and community impact.

Through these collective efforts, District Administration Kupwara reaffirmed its focus on inclusive development, environmental sustainability, and transparent governance, calling on citizens to actively participate and benefit from the robust array of government welfare schemes available under Sewa Parv-2025.
