Assembly Election J&K- 2024:
KUPWARA, AUGUST 22: The District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan Wednesday visited Lolab Sub division where she conducted a comprehensive inspection of Polling stations, Strong Room and RO Election Control room at Sogam ahead of Assembly Election of J&K 2024.
The inspection was aimed to evaluate the preparedness for upcoming Assembly Election 2024.
On the occasion, the DEO inspected the Strong Room established at Degree College Sogam and reviewed the election related arrangements there.
She also inspected RO Election Control Room at Sogam where she checked its smooth functioning and directed the officials to ensure timely submission of the information.
The DEO also paid visit to various Polling stations in Sogam block where she took appraisal of the Assured Minimum Facilities including electricity, water supply, sanitation, and accessibility for differently-abled voters.
While interacting with election staff, the DEO reiterated the unwavering commitment of the administration for facilitating free, fair, and transparent elections, wherein every eligible citizen can exercise their democratic right with confidence and ease.
The DEO was accompanied by SDM Lolab, Tehsildar Sogam and other officers.
