KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 26: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din inspected under construction building of Indian System of Medicine (ISM) at Kupwara today. He was accompanied by District Medical Officer (DMO) ISM Kupwara and concerned officers.
The DMO informed that the building has been constructed at a cost of Rs.1.45 crore by JKPCC. However, the building needs additional funds for its completion.
On the occasion, the DDC assured the concerned officer for making availablity of the funds so that the building will be completed during this year.
He directed the DMO to intensify the efforts for promoting Indian System of Medicines so that people in this far flung district could get added medicare facilities.
Earlier, the DDC also took stock of the Medical Store and functioning of the department.
