Samba 06 April 2026:- District Development Commissioner, Samba Ms. Ayushi Sudan, IAS chaired a meeting today in the meeting hall of District Administrative Complex, to review the progress of Vibrant Village Programme-II in respect of District Samba.
The chair took a detailed review and directed the designated village Nodal Officers to make a regular visit of their allotted village to create awareness among local inhabitants about the programme and to ensure 100% saturation of water supply schemes, social security schemes, HADP with special focus on high density plantation, dragon fruit/strawberry, Mission Yuva, 100% screening of Non-communicable Diseases, women and child related diseases concerning TB Mukt Bharat Programme etc.
Stress was also laid to focus on creation of additional infrastructure and support services such as setting up of Model Anganwadis and new Panchayat Bhawans where ever required, in the selected vibrant villages.
Lastly, the chair emphasized upon the convergence of various UT level schemes and CSS to meet out the demands identified in the selected villages during VVP, to make them vibrant.
District Development Commissioner, Samba also took comprehensive review on the functioning of Urban Local Bodies of District Samba. Directions were issued to the heads of ULBs to complete all houses which are at different stages of construction of PMAY-U Phase-I within one months’ time.
Emphasis was also laid to organize camps for creating awareness among the beneficiaries for inviting considerable applications under PMAYU 2.0 and PM-Savanidhi Scheme. Status of building permissions and outsourcing of manpower for cleanliness of urban areas was also reviewed by the chair.
Meeting was attended by CPO Samba, ACR Samba, SDM Ghagwal and Vijaypur, Village Nodal Officers of Vibrant Villages, concerned stakeholders and Heads of Urban Local Bodies of District Samba.
