COVID-19:Administration airlifts lady patient from Tangdhar , people appreciates effort

Kupwara : It is when surface communication from Tangdhar to Kupwara is closed due present lockdown in view of COVID-19 pandemic, Sub Divisional Magistrate karnah, Dr.Bilal Mohi-u-din today took timely efforts to airlift a pregnant lady from Tangdhar for further treatment at Srinagar. A pregnant lady from Hajinar in border karnah subdivision of Kupwara district yesterday admitted in sub district hospital, Tangdhar with labour pain. Where doctors advised her for advanced treatment and refered the patient to L D Hospital today. The family approached SDM karnah for help as the road from Tangdhar to Kupwara was closed for traffic due to preventive measures in view of lockdown. The SDM managed helicopter from local Army unit and ensured airlifting of the patient from Tangdhar at 5.30 pm today.The people of the area and the family appreciated the timely efforts of the SDM and the administration.
