Delhi, September 4 : HMLA Budgam, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, called on Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Dr. Raj Bhushan Chowdary ji and apprised him of the overall situation regarding water supply in the Budgam constituency.
During the meeting, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi highlighted several pending water supply schemes, including Arath-Churpora WSS Chatbug Wadwan WSS, Hurr – Zoorigund WSS, Ichgam WSS, Paller-Lakripora WSS , Ghariand Khurd WSS and Humhama WSS. He conveyed the growing concern and anxiety among the local population over the continued delay in completion of these important schemes.
Aga Muntazir urged the Union Minister to personally intervene and ensure that these Water Supply Schemes are completed and made functional at the earliest, enabling the people of Budgam constituency to receive safe and uninterrupted drinking water.
Aga Muntazir also briefed the Union Minister about the acute water scarcity being faced by the people of Nowgam Sumbal in District Bandipora, and urged for necessary intervention to address the issue and ensure adequate and reliable water supply to the area.
He also raised the issue of pending bills amounting to hundreds of crores of rupees owed to contractors and urged that the outstanding liabilities be cleared without further delay.
The Union Minister assured Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi that he would look into the matters raised and extend every possible assistance for addressing the concerns related to water supply.
