A Tree for Every Mother: Keran Unites in an Emotional Tribute to Love and Nature


Keran, Kupwara – 26th July 2025:In a heartfelt and symbolic celebration of motherhood and environmental stewardship, the Ministry of Youth Affairs .MY Bharat – Mera Yuva Bharat
Kupwara .collaboration with the Volunteer Youth of Khatana Action Group and with the invaluable support of the Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles, organized an inspiring campaign titled “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” at the iconic Rooh-e-Hind in Keran.
This emotionally resonant initiative was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest Brig Vikram Singh Chauhan, YSM
⁠Col Bhupender Singh Shahi (Retd) ⁠Brig P Semwal, VSM, Cdr 268 Inf Bde. Mr Taufeeq Mughal .SHO Keran,  Tehsildar Keran, and several other notable dignitaries. Their presence brought a sense of honor, encouragement, and warmth to the occasion.
With the noble intention of expressing gratitude toward the selfless love of mothers and the nurturing spirit of Mother Earth, the event saw overwhelming participation from the local community — including youth, students, elders, and villagers — all joining hands to plant trees in honor of their mothers.
Each sapling planted during the campaign was more than just a step toward greening the environment; it was a living, breathing tribute to the eternal love, sacrifice, and strength of mothers. These trees now stand as symbols of affection, legacy, and hope for future generations.
Beyond environmental awareness, the campaign also reflected the growing strength of civil-military unity, shared responsibility, and the spirit of Rooh-e-Hind. On this memorable day, Keran stood united — in emotion, in action, and in purpose.
