KUPWARA, AUGUST 5: The weeklong ‘Aakanksha Haat’, a part of the national campaign for ‘Vocal for Local’, concluded today with great enthusiasm and public participation. The event, which aimed to promote local artisans, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and entrepreneurs, was held at the Sumo Stand, Regipora, Kupwara.
On the concluding day, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, paid a visit to the Haat and interacted with participants. CPO Kupwara, Parvaiz Ahmad was accompanying the DC. The DC appreciated the efforts of local artisans and SHGs in showcasing their unique products and crafts. She emphasized the importance of such platforms in empowering local communities and promoting indigenous talent in line with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The ‘Aakanksha Haat’ witnessed vibrant stalls featuring handicrafts, handlooms, organic products, and traditional food items from across the district. The initiative provided a vital opportunity for local producers to connect directly with consumers and gain visibility for their products.
The District Administration expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, participants, and visitors for their support in making the campaign a success.
