Kupwara:The Jal Shakti department in Lolab Sub-division are running without its heads from last two months leaving the people in suffer.
As per the statement received here reads,While UT administration is on tenter hooks for the betterment of basic facilities of people but in a strange move in Lolab area,Phe Sub-Division lolab is without its own AEE and JE’s from last two months now.
Taking cognizance of the issue, imminent social activist cum Head of the Lolab Youth Organisation Er Mudasir,who is always vocal about day to day issues of Lolab has expressed its annoyance over the negligence of deptt and elected DDC members.
As Lolab is vast & populated area & people of area are already suffering with major water crisis,be it for drinking or any other daily use purposes.Many areas in past years were covered by tankers/trollies of Phe to serve drinking water to public but due to excuse of non-availability of drivers in Jal Shakti department it has further worsened the situation.
Jal Shakti department is being called as essential as medical/Pdd deptt,but without officers on chair’s,people of sub-division are suffering on large scale”,Mudasir said in a handout received here,
He urges DC kupwara,Chief engineer PHE to kindly intervene in the matter and fill these vacant chair’s within short span of time in order to ease the sufferings of common people.
