Kupwara admin organizes block diwas programme at Thayan-Kalaroose, Rajwar, Sogam, Amruhi

KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 3: To ensure good governance and to address public issues at the door steps of people, District Administration Kupwara today organized 04 Block Diwas cum grievance redressal camps at Thayan Kalaroos, Rajwar Handwara, Sogam and Amruhi Tangdar. The main function was held at Thayan Kalaroose which was chaired by ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan. Speaking at the occasion, the ADDC said that three tier panchayat raj system has been established by the Government and people can easily now address their developmental issues at their doorsteps with the help of PRIs. He assurred the PRIs and the people that their genuine issues will be resolved in a time bound manner. The ADDC stressed upon the officers to work with added dedication and ensure people are facilitated with essential services. He directed the concerned officers to note the issues raised by the PRIs and provide their timely redressal. Later, the ADDC distributed kits and certificates under Beti Bachao Beti Padao among the beneficiaries. He also distributed income and category certificates among the beneficiaries. On the occasion, DDC Member, various PRIs and officers also spoke. The DDC member, local PRIs put forward various developmental issues of the area relating to power supply, maintenance of roads, release of MGNREGA payment etc. DDC member Kalaroose, Ghulam Mustafa Rahie; BDC Chairperson, ACP, BDO Kalaroose, PRIs and officers of the administration, besides, large number of people participated in the Block Diwas. At Handwara, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nazir Ahmad Mir chaired the Block Diwas programme at TRC Rajwar. BDC chairperson, PRIs, officers and people in large number attended the Block Diwas programme. At Sogam, the Block Divas was chaired by SDM Lolab, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat. The Block Diwas programme was also held at border and farflung area Amrohyee in Karnah sub division where SDM Karnah, Gulzar Ahmad presided over the programme. In all the four block diwas programmes, the public representatives and general public projected their demands pertaining to different departments including Power, Health, R&B, Forest, Agriculture, horticulture and allied sectors and different engineering departments, besides, Social Welfare. The concerned officers heard them patiently and assured that their genuine demands will be fulfilled on priority basis.
