Khalid Jahangir Wednesday assumed charge as District Development Commissioner Kupwara, relieving Imam-ud-Din who has been transferred and posted as Director Rural Development Department Kashmir. An order to this effect was issued by GAD last week.
Khalid Jahangir,a 1999-batch KAS officer, who is on his second stint as Deputy Commissioner of the frontier district has been previously serving as Chairman JKSSB – J&K’s premier recruitment agency.
On the eve of him assuming charge as DC Kupwara, various senior officers from district administration welcomed him with bouquets.
The officers assured the new DC of their full support and cooperation for the holistic development of the district.
The DC in return impressed upon all the subordinates to adopt a coordinated approach to achieve the goals set for the development of the frontier district as to mitigate the sufferings of public.
