DC Kupwara conducts site visit of water bodies proposed to be rejuvenated under Mission Amrit Sarovar in Lolab

Kupwara, Jul 14 : In order to review progress in the implementation of Mission Amrit Sarovar, aimed at developing and rejuvenating water bodies in Lolab valley, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara Khalid Jahangir on Thursday, visited Sogam Block in Lolab of District Kupwara to conduct first hand stock/site visit of lakes and ponds.

He impressed upon working in a mission mode with a coordinated effort of all the members of the committee constituted for effective implementation of the mission to meet the desired targets and work meticulously while taking PRIs & general public of the areas on board right from the step of planning upto the level of execution of all these Amrit Sarovar projects.

In Sogam Lolab Block eleven ponds are being rejuvenated under mission Amrit sarovar which includes pond in Sever Lolab, Thandoosa Pond, Chandigam A&B, Tangchakh and others.

Among others, DC kupwara was accompanied by the ACD Kupwara, BMO Sogam, DFO Kamraj, Executive Engineer irrigation and Flood Control, EXen Rural Development department (RDD), AEE (RDD) and others.
