COVID19:DM Kupwara imposes 3 day restrictions under Section 144 CrPC from 12 to 14 July

KUPWARA, JULY 11: With an aim to control the spread of COVID-19 infection, District Magistrate Kupwara Anshul Garg today imposed restrictions under section 144 CrPC and section 34 of Disaster Management Act on any public or vehicular movement within the district including town areas of Kupwara, Handwara and Langate from July 12 to July 14, 2020.An order issued by the District Magistrate reads that the restrictions are being imposed to control the spread of Coronavirus in view of increasing numbers in COVID-19 positive cases.According to the order, concerned Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars have been appointed as duty magistrates to ensure enforcement of restrictions in their respective areas.The order also mandates Superintendents of Police, Kupwara and Handwara to ensure strict implementation of the said order
