DC Kupwara chairs Public Darbar at Environmental Hall Handwara.

Kupwara,April, 17: In order to get the first hand appraisal of public grievances and review the developmental activities executed by various departments, District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg (IAS) today chaired a Public Contact Programme at Environmental Hall Handwara.

The District Development Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara,Gulzar Ahmad , JD Planning, Chief Agriculture Officer, CEO, Executive Engineers PHE, PDD and I&FC Division Handwara, besides public representatives and prominent citizens, Sarpanches and Panchs from adjacent areas of Handwara, Langate also took part in the darbar.
During Public Darbar, residents of area highlighted the issues pertaining to drinking water, electricity, improvement in developmental activities, repair and renovation of roads, irrigation facilities for agriculture sector, and need for playgrounds towards encouraging youth engagement.

While addressing huge gathering at Handwara, DDC assured the public that their grievances and genuine demands will be addressed after proper scrutiny within stipulated time frame, while some demands of urgent nature were referred to the concerned departments for immediate redressal.

On the occasion, DDC directed Exen PHE Division, Handwara to ensure immediate measures for providing portable water supply to the residents of Dedaarpora,
initiate the work on water supply scheme and complete it within stipulated time frame.

DDC stressed on concerned officers of education department to ensure better quality of education and directed the concerned to work on repairing, renovation of washrooms and play grounds in the schools of the district.

DDC also directed Irrigation and Flood Control department to work on desilting of Irrigation Khuls in the area so that in comming season farmers may not face any hardship.

Meanwhile, the DDC assured that genuine demands highlighted by the people of Ramhal, Rajwar, Mawar, Langate and Magam areas will be considered on priority basis.
